Tecair puts sustainability into practice with Trespa Second Life panels
At Tecair, we believe in solutions that are not only technically advanced but also contribute to a better world. That is why we chose a circular alternative for our workbenches: worktops from the Trespa Second Life programme
High quality, without the use of new raw materials
Instead of purchasing new materials, we have given existing Trespa® panels a second life. By choosing reuse instead of recycling, we significantly reduce energy use and raw material consumption. The result is robust workbenches that meet the highest quality standards, without the ecological footprint of new production.
Keeping CO₂ stored for longer
An important aspect of this choice is its environmental impact. Trespa® panels consist of at least 58 percent natural materials, mainly wood fibres, which store CO₂.
- • Carbon storage: By reusing these panels in our workshop, we keep the stored CO₂ locked in the product for longer.
- • Lower environmental impact: The Trespa Second Life initiative reduces the total environmental impact of the panels over their full lifecycle by approximately 25 percent.
Building a circular economy together
This project is a direct result of our sustainability vision: less waste, fewer emissions and maximum lifespan. We are proud to work with Trespa to keep these materials within the value chain.

About Trespa Second Life
The Trespa Second Life programme is an initiative aimed at extending the lifespan of durable panels. Instead of being discarded as waste, the panels are given a new purpose in high quality applications such as furniture or, as in Tecair’s case, in the workshop.
